Armenia Furniture Line
Studio Hetanos makes its debut with the Armenia Furniture Line, which is a modern imagining of Armenia’s storied past in the form of furniture and housewares. Drawing upon a heritage rich in history, art, design and craftsmanship, the collection recreates classical symbolism through an avant-garde lens. The result is a bold, unexpected take on coffee and cocktail tables, with the letter “A” and the map of Armenia as the nucleus of the design.
The Armenia Furniture Line celebrates the ancient traditions of Armenian petroglyphs, visual iconographies, stonecutting and woodworking. High-end fabrication, superior quality and carefully chosen materials offer a fresh perspective to traditional Armenian typography and design. The tension between old and new, classical and modern, creates a stunning juxtaposition that is both inventive and imaginative.
Studios Hetanos’ Armenia Furniture Line is a unique brand of custom-designed modern furniture that bridges old world craftsmanship through cutting edge industrial design.
The tables are available in white high gloss powder-coat, polished stainless steel or natural hardwood finishes. Each piece is made to order in Los Angeles and sold exclusively through Studio Hetanos.
Rooted in prehistoric petroglyphs from over 6000 years ago, the letter “A” (Ayp) is representative of early man’s endeavor to create a written language. It is not just the first letter of the Armenian alphabet; it’s a symbolic representation of how language was cultivated in one of the oldest recorded civilizations on Earth. This design pays homage, both literally and figuratively, to the letter A's form and functionality.
The modern Table-A is destined to become a conversation piece. This custom metal and glass table features a laser-cut Armenian letter “A”, machine formed extruded body, and hand welded stainless steel base with a stunning, reflective hand polished mirror finish. The tabletop is composed of Starphire Glass with smooth, rounded edges, giving it ultra-contemporary edge.

This innovative design gets its significance from the iconic Garni Temple whose Pythagorean geometry based design brings to life the structure’s beautiful details and form. Built in the 3rd millennium BC, the temple’s ability to endure both human and natural forces has become a symbol for Armenia’s resiliency throughout the years.
Garni Table’s minimal and playful design features the laser cut profiles of the temple’s front, back and sides. These cutout profiles create the temple in negative form and become the table’s legs. The table’s play on positive and negative space comes alive with an Ultra White powder coat finish.
